I saw His face, but did not see
for sight was never meant for me.
I felt His touch, but did not feel
because I would not let Him heal.
I heard His voice, but did not hear
I knew it was because of fear.
But when I sought, I found His face
the source of all His holy grace.
And when I stretched, I caught His hand
with His help I came to stand.
My ears were opened by my choice
and now I always hear His voice.
Now that I see and feel and hear,
I no longer have to fear.
For by His grace am I set free
for He gave Christ to you and me!
