Raise a Hallelujah

by Dave Mudford © 2023

Grief suffocating breath
pain overwhelming days,
sorrow heavy in death
hope still found in His praise;
worship deep
His love keep
One more hallelujah raise.

My pride smothering grace
pity controlling days,
soul heavy with disgrace
hope still found in His praise;
sin confess
thanks, express
One more hallelujah raise.

Tension shattering dreams
worry consuming days,
thought heavy as it screams
hope still found in His praise;
assurance mine
precious design
One more hallelujah raise.

Love; connection restores
grace now enhancing days,
cross heavy that He bore
hope rises through our praise;
promises alive
renewed; blessings thrive
One more hallelujah raise.
