THE SECOND CHANCE

Oh Lord my King you have won my heart,
It's because of your Grace I can make a new start,
To wander with Satan the trickster no more,
It's because of your Love I've found the door.

The door, the door to a place at your feet,
Upon my arrival your judgement to meet,
Your judgement, your judgement strikes fear to my soul,
But my heart knows your Mercy, take me in from the cold.

No sin is too great, no kindness too small,
Your forgiveness protects me from taking the fall,
The fall, the fall the tumble to strife,
I fear it not. For you are my Lord, my Savior, my life.

This was the first Christian poem that I had written. Those who have just been saved and given their hearts to the Lord, will understand the sentiment expressed. The Lord will restore your wasted years.
