PURGATORY

by Peter the Poet
www.youtube.com/channel/UC_GtbBeRm8ctYlmNqax4afA

I've heard of a place that's a shocking disgrace,
It exists in the mind of deceived mankind,
Invented by those seeking wealth I suppose,
An unbearable yolk over innocent folk.

This place has eight levels of tormenting devils,
For the poor and the fool, the lower levels burn cool,
For the rich and their lot, the upper levels burn hot,
To be purged of all sin before paradise can begin.

People pay by the ton so that grace can be won,
Through masses and prayer to get their dead out of there,
But their effort's for naught for grace can't be bought,
They're the victims of lies that their masters despise.

For as long as Rome's ruled, mankind has been fooled,
Year after year kept obedient by fear,
People's gold has been given for sins to be forgiven,
Weighed down by rules, as the church counts the jewels.

So if about Purgatory you hear, don't quiver in fear,
Because for you Jesus died there's no need to decide,
Which work is the best to feather your nest,
The job has been done, the battle is won.

Once and for all, God's son took the fall,
There's only one place that exists outside grace,
That place is Hell and I'm sorry to tell,
There is no way out, let there be no doubt.

So study the Word and discount what is heard,
Then you wont be so blind to the plight of mankind,
Those who lay at the feet of treachery and deceit,
And the truth you'll receive, celebrate and believe.

AUTHORS NOTE:
Please do not believe the story about Purgatory. It is a tall tale made up by greedy men for the sole purpose of creating fear in people. Fear then creates and ensures obedience to the powers that be. There is also the second benefit of this story, which is it's fundraising ability. As people die, (who of course all go to Purgatory) their relatives are willing to pay what they can to the "Vicars of Christ" so that an extra measure of grace goes to their loved one, hence shortening their stay in a nonexistent place. I'm going to stop writing now because I'm getting really mad, but you have to give them points for cleverness don't you!!!
