DADDY

by Peter the Poet
www.youtube.com/channel/UC_GtbBeRm8ctYlmNqax4afA

Be silent my love, take comfort in sleep,
Mummy knows that you're hurting, but Baby don't weep,
Your Daddy's not here, from now on we're alone,
Because God up in Heaven has called Daddy home.

I miss him too, we were joined at the heart,
And now that he's gone, I feel torn apart.
I'll treasure the time on this Earth that we shared,
Our love only grew since the time we were wed.

And you dear, are fruit of our wonderful love,
Daddy sees you and smiles from his place up above,
Though he missed your arrival to go live in God's grace,
I see him each time I look at your face.

So please little spirit, don't cry and be strong,
For one day we to will go where we belong,
And then you'll see Daddy in raiment of white,
A family once more within God's loving site.

AUTHORS NOTE:
Sometimes our foundations can be rocked by events such as the death of a loved one. We are all only Human and it is a somewhat understandable though incorrect reaction to question why such things happen to God's people while unbelievers seem to have trouble free lives. Remember that our time here is but a snap of the fingers in duration and we can draw comfort from the fact that we will be reunited forever with those lost to us soon enough.
