Jesus Is Christmas

by W.G. Keysaer © 2021

Just a little baby, sometimes he even did fuss.

Emanuel he is God with us

Salvation was the plan from all eternity past

Unceremoniously he arrived in his own world an outcast

Shepards came to see this spotless lamb

In the manger sleeping laid the great I am

Sent from heaven above to do the Father's will

Christ the Messiah, the law He would fulfill

However he did not remain a little lad

Remembering the Father he kept every command

Israel his people rejected his every claim

Salvation from Rome, this was their aim

The cross is where they sent him

Messiah hung dieing, the outlook was grim

After three days taken down from the cross

Savior then risen to rescue the lost
