Just Another Day

by Dave Mudford © 2022

Just another rainy day,
Grey clouds guiding my verse,
Do I know its blessing
Or do I see its curse?

Just another work day,
Weights to carry that's for certain,
Do I know its value
Or do I see its burden?

Just another broken day,
dreams exhausted, pressure increases,
do I know its healing
Or do I see its pieces?

Just another sabbath day,
living and breathing in His beauty,
do I know its promise
Or do I see its duty?

Just another ordinary day,
tasks blended by their oneness,
do I know its treasure
Or do I see its dullness?

Just another created day,
many things to concern us,
do I know its Maker
Or do I miss its purpose?
