Thank you Lord for this day

Thank you Lord for this day, but if I fail you in some way, forgive me Lord for this is my plea, for I am only human on bended knees.
Thank you Lord and keep me strong, help me Lord to do no wrong and if i meet someone astray, help me Lord to show the way. To be a light in the darkness, a shining star to testify of who you are to bring hope when all seems lost to testify about the cross.
Thank you Lord and help me to see all the beauty you have made for me, the grass the trees the skies so blue the mountains tall but small things too the fragrance of a fallen rain, the far off whistle from a train, the peaceful sound of a newborn babies cry and to see an eagle soaring in the sky, all these things and millions more, I humbly Lord thank you for.
And thank you Lord for all you have done for giving up your only son to die upon a cross for me that through his death my sins set free and to live again eternally.
So when my life on earth is done and all my earthly battles have been won, dont cry for me or mourn my passing for I will be with the Lord for everlasting. My only prayer as I end this poem that I will see all my loved ones home. So live each day as if the last and let us pray that we will stand the test.
