Poet's Word

The poet's words "fly" high like birds,
soaring high on winds cross skies.
They can be wise while in disguise,
and break our heart's own lies.

These careful rhymes picked from the vines
are chosen with much care.
They dare the mind with words defined
to contemplate them fair.

We set their meter so they will teeter
across our very mind.
And set their rhyme now caught in time
just as we designed.

So listen well these words that dwell
in thoughts of heart and mind.
They come from God to earthly sod.
Their treasures you can find.

Now read with care if you would dare
and study them for sure.
They open light, your mind more bright,
these word you can't immure.

"So here's the way for you today
to gain eternal life.
Just ask Christ in; you gain the win
that ends all struggle and strife.

For us Christ died, in Him we abide.
He takes our sin away.
So let Him in, new heart He'll pen.
My hope for you, I pray."

Read these words in two not thirds.
and take them to your heart.
They burn with truth, you be the sleuth.
They build a guiding chart.
