Forgive Me, Abba

by Tracy A Andrews

Forgive me, Abba, for thinking You weren't there,
When truth be told, it was I who couldn't hear.
It was I who was blind and deaf to Your voice,
If only I'd known I could believe through choice.

I could choose to believe that You loved me so,
And choose to believe You wouldn't let me go.
I could choose to believe You where there for me,
I could choose to believe, and by faith to see.

By faith, I can believe that You love me so,
That through Yeshua's death, Your great love, You show.
Parted from Your Son so You could mend the rift,
Belief is all we need to receive Your gift.

By faith, I can see You were there for me,
You gave me the strength I needed to flee.
You gave me the help that I needed to heal,
You did all this so that, 'for others', I'd feel.

By faith, I can reach those that are in pain too,
Let them know the way to healing is through You.
Only You can heal us from the inside out,
You can cleanse our hearts and minds, there is no doubt!

So, thank You, Abba, for what You did for me,
You opened my heart's eyes so I could see.
I praise You and worship You for all you've done,
I know, in the Spirit, You and I think as One.
