I Will Not Be Moved

by Tracy A Andrews © 2022

Can I, who am so beset by worries,
And who focuses on her miseries.
Can I come to a place where I am calm,
Where I can boldly say, "I fear no harm?"

If I let God have His way in me,
Selfishness and wrong thoughts would have to flee.
My life will be emptied of all that dross,
As I trust in God till I fear no loss.

I have Yeshua's Spirit in my heart,
And He clearly says He will not depart.
He's my rock, my refuge, my help in need,
As I abide in Him, I will succeed.

Here's hope for those used to overthinking,
Study God's Word till wrong thoughts are shrinking.
If we abide in Him, He'll be our peace,
And His, is a peace that will never cease.

Those who trust in God will not be moved,
Abide in His Word and it will be proved.
Though the earth may shake, your heart will not fear,
Because you know that God is right here.
