Success

Some folks define success by monetary gain
But I define it as Jesus slain
And risen again to make me free
Success is mine; Christ lives in me

If I can look back in 30 years
And see that my character, knowing no fear
Had modeled love, wisdom, and honesty

If I met my goals by working hard
Treated people fairly and kept my word
And earned their respect rather simply

I'll choose a path that might seem plain
