God with Me

While sitting on the sand
and gazing out to sea,
my soul had come to rest
with God there next to me.

The sun began to shine
as darkness turned to light.
'Twas then God touched my heart
and all my fears took flight.

The good Lord gave me peace,
this gift He gave to me,
and all my troubled cares
then drifted out to sea.
