Guard My Mouth

by Kristine Stanton © 2016

Come help me, Yahweh—this I pray.
Please guard my mouth both night and day.

I ask that You come seal my lips—
don't let my words be hurtful quips.

Please teach me, Lord, to speak what's true
and show my heart what's not of You.

Let not a word pass through my lips
that cause the loss of sweet friendships.
