Crying Out For God

The soul which hungers for that which it knows not
Trodden endless paths to kingdoms long forgot
Appetites directing lives lost to fleeting pleasure
Rainbows end reached but never finding treasure

Wealth, momentary pleasure, fame, and power
All will be gone at death's dark hour.
The cravings of the heart will thus be forever flawed
Until he would know his soul is crying out for God
