The brave men and women of yesterday,
Their commitment to serve, you could not sway.
Training and hard work, it did demand;
They willingly fought for our beloved land.
They did it to secure our safety:
This life we live in a land that is free.
Most soldiers came back physic'lly whole;
Mentally, for some, it's taken its toll.
Those who sacrificed more, we're aware:
They lost arms, legs, and scars they still bear.
Disabled or not, we honor each one,
And thank all of you for a job well done.
"One nation under God"; Red, White, and Blue;
God's blessings be upon each one of you.
