Hearts That Hunger

by Clinton Herring

Thank you Lord for hearts that hunger,
Hunger for you and seek your wonder!
Not so the wicked who soon will perish
Who turn from you, the one to cherish.
Oh, that hearts would come to see
The love from You you’ve given so free!

My prayer now is more will crave,
And find themselves among the brave,
Who call on you in times of trouble,
Your Spirit, Your Word while in their rubble.
Your love overcomes all that stuff
The enemy throws to make it so rough.

Thank you Lord for hearts that turn,
When seeing Your mercy, to You they run!
There in your presence is joy for sure!
And grace to cover all we endure!
These hearts that hunger for You, You free!
From guilt, and death, sweet ecstasy!

Romans 8:1-3
There is therefore now no condemnation
for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the
law of the Spirit of life has set you free in
Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.
