God of Love

by Clinton Herring

Can’t you see the God of love?
This one of might, this Ancient of Days,
Who sits on golden thrones above,
Whom we’ve all scorned and know not His ways?

He is righteous and just and holds account.
He is love and mercy and joy so true,
His Son, His blood our covering fount.
The payment for sin that was our due.

The Father of love who loves to redeem,
His Spirit He sent to dwell in us - WOW!
The One whom we above all should esteem!
His gift, His Son before whom ALL shall bow!
