We are hearing "Season's Greetings" in stores, and on the street,

And "Happy Holiday's" we hear from people that we meet.

And now it seems that those two greetings are to be correct,

And "Merry Christmas" is no longer what we may expect.

It seems that some new law has passed, by people in control,

And just a few decided that it must be used by all.

But I still know that Christmas is the birthday of the King,

Who came to earth, so long ago, so let those church bells ring.

And I will still sing carols, and praises to my Lord,

And celebrate His birthday, according to His word.

So Merry Christmas to my friends; I will shout it loud and clear.

And Happy Birthday, Jesus, and thanks for staying near.
