No Greator Gift

by DRussell © 2014

A man that knew our grief
for one, He forgave a thief.
No greater gift of worth
to be sent down to earth.
In a manger born anew
His heart of love beat for you
one of flesh not made of stone,
would live for us to atone.

Whose life felt our shame
though did not come for fame.
Sought for sinners to meet
from them did not retreat.
If one not able to see
those believing were set free.
The perfect life for us to die,
Jesus needed no alibi.
