TOO MANY BLESSINGS

by Pearl Leona Sturgis

TURKEY AND STUFFING..
LOVED ONES AROUND
ROLLS IN THE OVEN
JUST TURNING BROWN.

NOW WE'RE CONFESSING,
HEARTS ON OUR SLEEVE ...
WE'VE TOO MANY BLESSINGS.
NO ROOM TO RECEIVE.

SNOW IN DECEMBER;
FLOWERS IN MAY.
LORD, WE REMEMBER
TO THANK YOU TODAY

FOR RIVERS AND VALLEYS;
MOUNTAINS AND STREAMS;
MUSIC AND SUNSHINE;
FREEDOM AND DREAMS;

HOME BY THE FIRESIDE;
FRIENDS WIPING TEARS;
TWO LEGS TO WALK ON;
TWO EARS TO HEAR.

FORGIVE OUR DEPRESSION
AND TIMES WE COMPLAIN.
SEND DOWN THE BLESSINGS,
TOO MANY TO NAME.

TODAY WE SAY THANK YOU
AND LORD, WE BELIEVE...
WE'VE TOO MANY BLESSINGS.
NO ROOM TO RECEIVE.
