Let Go

by Catherine Deaton

Let go of all
You thought you had planned
Put all your dreams
In His unwavering hand.

Focus on God
What He has for you
Compare not to others
Within your view.

We fret and toil
Grasping in vain
We waste such time
All in His name.

Difficult to surrender
Submit to His will
It's tough to follow
Listen quiet and still.

Eternity rewards
Those traveling the road
Of straight and narrow
Follow that mode.
