Salvation Poems

My Lighthouse
I collect pictures of lighthouses, and I have written many poems about lighthouses. This is one of them, comparing a lighthouse to the light of salvation.

The Pearl Of Great Price
This poem was inspired by a sermon preached at my church in October of 2010, based on the parable in Matthew 13:45-46.

"We Never Saw It On This Fashion"
After Jesus healed one sick with palsy, onlookers were amazed that the man took up his bed and walked. Mark 2:12b says, "We never saw it on this fashion."

What Christ Hath Done
"For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?" -Matthew 16:26

THE RIGHT WAY
John 14:6 says, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life:no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me."

YOU NEVER WIN WITH ALMOST
Acts 26:28 says, "Then Agrippa said unto Paul, almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian." Almost is not enough. We need to fully trust Jesus.

"BE SURE YOUR SIN WILL FIND YOU OUT"
I have a few children's church stories based on the scripture, "Be sure your sin will find you out." I wrote this poem to go along with these stories.

As God Whispers
just give me an old scrap of paper...

It Was All Planned
For those who think the cross was a surprise to God, think again. From the beginning of creation, The Trinity knew and was prepared for the death of Jesus on the Cross. I for one, am so thankful that He was willing to die in my place.
