What we have seen we cannot now unsee
It is a gift the Holy Spirit gives
And all of Grace
The night is dark and waves torment the sea
Piercing the darkness, God Himself still lives
We see His face.
This is a sight that faith will hold our hearts
And clear the wondering mind of doubts that held
Our hearts from Him
Slowly the vision clears and life imparts
A brighter view of Him, shadows dispelled
A newer hymn.
And soon a blaze of light will fill the view
Brighter than all, but perfect for our eyes
A glorious gaze
Like morning sunshine after drenching dew
A sight of Him, our great eternal prize
Will fill our days.
To see Him clearer, heaven's glorious Sun
But heaven's lowly Son who stooped our way
And hear His call
Light overcoming darkness, victory won
All darkened clouds forever passed away
Light filling all.
