Sacred Journeys: Pioneers of the Gospel

by Bose V © 2024

In India's embrace, five souls did tread,
Their mission clear, no fear to be fed.
Through jungles dense, and rivers wide,
They journeyed forth, with faith as their guide.

Amy Carmichael, with eyes ablaze,
Rescuing children from life's cruel maze.
In Dohnavur's haven, her love unfurled,
A sanctuary for the world's lost world.

William Carey, with vision grand,
Translated Scriptures, across the land.
Through toil and tears, his labor profound,
Established roots, where faith was found.

Pandita Ramabai, a voice of grace,
Empowering women in every place.
Amidst oppression, she dared to speak,
For justice and truth, her soul did seek.

John and Betty Stam, a couple brave,
In China's land, their lives they gave.
Their love for Jesus, no trial could sever,
In martyr's blood, they stood forever.

Facing trials and hardships dire,
They never faltered, never did tire.
Through persecution, they stood tall,
Answering God's divine call.

Their stories echo, through time's embrace,
Inspiring us to run the race.
In their footsteps, may we trod,
Proclaiming Christ, to the ends of God.
