The Brevity Of Life

by Margaret Cagle

Life on earth is like a vapor.
It may quickly vanish away.
Most people know not when
Will be their very last day.

Some hear the Gospel and say,
"I should get saved, I know,
But I'm still very young.
I'll wait a few years or so."

No, we can't be certain about
The date that we will die,
But we can be very sure
That there's a God on high.

We need to accept God's Son.
Jesus Christ died for our sin.
He shed His precious blood.
He died for the sins of all men.

When we are gloriously saved,
Our lives should count for God.
Remember, life can be brief
While on this earth we trod.
