Sweet Meditation

In my senior years of life,
I have learned to meditate.
Earlier I stayed too busy.
I regret I learned so late.

During my working years,
I rushed throughout the day.
I was bound by a schedule.
On it I needed to stay.

I rushed through devotions
Of Bible reading and prayer.
I did not witness for Christ.
I had no time to spare.

Getting alone with God
And forgetting about the time,
And meditating on His Word,
And praying is so sublime.

Through divine meditation,
God really speaks to my heart.
I read Scripture and meditate.
Then peaceful moments start.

It is really hard to describe
How sweet meditation can be.
You need to try it yourself.
Then its value, you will see.
