Home At Last! Home At Last!

by Margaret Cagle

When we read in the Bible of Heaven,
Its wonderful glories unfold.
With all of its wondrous beauty,
We read, "The half has never been told."

O Christian, let's seek to serve Jesus.
Always proclaim His holy name.
When in Heaven we stand before Him,
We won't have to suffer shame.

On earth, with sorrows the tears flow
From trials, heartaches, and fears,
But we have a Heavenly promise.
God shall wipe away all tears.

Some Christians are destined to suffer,
With bodies racked with pain.
They look forward to going home,
With sorrows to lose and Heaven to gain.

In Heaven, we'll have changed bodies.
We'll be with Jesus and be like Him,
And with loved ones who've gone before,
We will finally unite with them.

Gone are all our earthly troubles,
With memories of that sinful past.
We shall see the face of our Savior!
Home at last! Home at last!
