I WILL SEE YOU IN HEAVEN

by Margaret Cagle

My dear, it seems you left so soon
From this journey of life we shared.
Our love reached higher than the moon.
For each other, so much we cared!

I know that we will meet someday
In Heaven upon that golden strand.
There is so much that I want to say
As we stroll all over Gloryland.

Yes, I know we had our ups and downs
As we both struggled in this life here,
But up in Heaven, there'll be no frowns.
No, we will shed not one little tear.

We'll have no memory of those hard times
When we tried so hard to make ends meet.
We scraped for pennies, nickels, and dimes
So that our kids could have food to eat.

Maybe God will give us glimpses there
Of the good times we shared here below.
Surely in Heaven, we'll not have to bear
Memories of sorrows, heartaches, and woe.

I'm glad, my dear, you're over the pain
That here you had to bear and endure.
You left this earth for Heaven to gain.
You're happy with Jesus, I'm very sure.

So Dear, until someday when we meet
Upon that bright and Heavenly shore,
I won't be sorrowful and suffer defeat,
And I'll serve Jesus more and more.
