O WEARY SOLDIER

Joshua led God's chosen people.
He conquered his foes one by one.
He was so strong and very courageous
Until God said, "Your job is done."

Paul preached the Gospel through many trials.
In much patience, he ran his race.
He fought a good fight, and he kept the faith.
Then he met his Savior face to face.

Blood-bought saint, you've served your Savior.
For Him you've stood faithful and true.
Look for His coming; be ready to meet Him.
A home in Glory is waiting for you.

O weary soldier, your battles are over.
The sun is sinking fast in the West.
The voice of the Savior so gently is calling.
Enter thou into your time of rest.
