Today

Today is the day to speak of love
To thank the Creator who lives above
For blessings too rich for the mind to conceive,
Yet those are the blessings I have received.

From the time of creation, Adam could see
That life was futile without his Eve.
And so it continues through trials and strife:
Man is inspired by the love of his wife.

Sweet Janie, you are the love of my life,
I celebrate our love, so glad you're my wife.
My heart I pledge as the future we face
Serving our Lord; saved by His grace.
