Crowns

by Margaret Cagle

On this earth here below,
I am no queen of anything.
I have never worn a crown
Except at the Burger King.

I expect to have crowns
Waiting for me over there,
When I get up to Heaven
In that Gloryland so fair.

I want to be so faithful
To my Savior and my Lord,
That when I get to Heaven,
I will receive a reward.

I will not keep my crowns,
For when my Savior I meet,
I will bow down before Him
And cast them at His feet.
