Press Toward The Mark

Some things we did in the past
May bother us and cause strife,
But each one who accepts the Savior
Repents of the sin in his life.

We asked God to forgive our sin,
But to forget, it is hard to do.
God wants us to press forward
And to Him stand faithful and true.

God sent His only begotten Son.
For our sins, He was sacrificed.
We need to press toward the mark
Of the high calling in Jesus Christ.

Let us put the things behind us
That hinder our service for God
And press forward in His will
As on His narrow path we trod.
