The Throne of Grace

by Deborah Ann Belka
https://poetrybydeborahann.wordpress.com

I throw myself,
on the throne of grace
God's mercy my soul
longs to embrace.

My trust I lay,
at His feet
sinner and Savior
finally meet.

He knows my heart,
my repentant tears
for in His books
are wandering years.

My life now follows,
His righteous ways
His Word and laws
directs my days.

To God's glory,
my heart sings
from death eternal
His pardon brings.

One day soon,
I'll walk in His light
but for now ~ darkness
I must still fight!

Psalm 56:13
King James Version

"For thou hast delivered my soul from
death: wilt not thou deliver my feet
from falling, that I may walk before God
in the light of the living?"
