On Father’s Day

Father God, on Father's Day,
I just want to say:
"I love You" and "Thank You",
For everything You do!

Thank You, Father God,
For how You love me;
For Your many blessings,
So plain to see…

Thank You, yes it's true,
For correcting me;
However unpleasant
It may sometimes be…

I thank You too, Abba,
For forgiving me;
For grace You freely give,
For Your evernew mercy.

Thank You, especially,
For Your patience with me;
For helping me grow —
So dedicated, so tenderly.

I give You thanks, God,
For listening to me;
For how You draw near,
Every time I call on Thee.

But most of all, God,
For Your dear Son in me;
Because without Him,
To whom would I flee?

He made me accepted;
His love set me free.
In Him I am home —
And I can simply be 'me'.

Heavenly Father, Abba,
Thank You for saving me;
That, one day in Heaven,
With Jesus forever I will be!
