The Choice to Love

To give our wills to another's cause,
Something feelings cannot take,
For its always there despite the scars.
Love is God; whom we should serve,
Known in the way He lives,
Not built on what we deserve,
Only found by what He gives.
Love is the grace that we should claim,
To allow our soul to heal,
Our sin carried within His frame,
The Father's heart to reveal.
Love is the gift that we give,
To allow His blessings to shine,
Shown in the way we live,
For its all part of God's design.
Love is the promise He conveys,
Beyond what we can comprehend,
For in the truth His love displays,
Our broken hearts to heal and mend.
1 Peter 2:24, ESV: He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.
