Walking Set Free

tears cascade down within my broken heart
flooding perceptions, tearing hope apart,
burdens weight carried when walking alone
fearful of the shadow of the unknown,
blessings now lost
at such great cost,
forgetting the grace that I have been shown.

blood cascades down Christ's beaten, broken frame
healing all my wounds, His true hope proclaim,
burdens weight lifted when walking set free
all my dark shadows are nailed to His tree
blessings now claimed
I'm not ashamed,
embracing grace as I fall to my knee.
