Some days…

Some days I'm just a big old mess,
And I have a hard time loving myself.
I need to be reminded, on those days,
That God loves me anyways.

That I don't always have to be strong;
That I'm His child, and to Him I belong.
That after stumbling and sinning -
There is forgiveness, a new beginning.
That God sees my soul, the true me;
That He sees who I'm destined to be.
That His love is free and unconditional;
Never-ending and formidable.

Because sometimes I forget, really, I do;
That God is love, through and through.
Sometimes I make God too small -
And I forget that His love embraces all.
