Some sing, "Christian songs are sad,
And are setting themselves up for a fall in the end.
The God of their hope has been dead all along,
What a sad end to a sad song."
Some sing, "God is dead indeed,"
Eat, drink, and be merry they believe.
If tomorrow they go to their grave, "Without the consequence,"
A sad end will come to their cadence.
The Christian sings, "So if there is no God, what have I lost,
Since there will be no Judge to count my cost.
I too will find peace in my grave,
Even if God is not there to save."
But what if God is not dead as some may sing?
Death for life they have exchanged.
And if they were cast out all along,
What a sad end to a sad song.
