In the Twinkling of an Eye

by T Rock © 2022

Seven years of destruction began as more Trumpets sounded,
Then came the armies of Heaven as bowls of wrath befell.
Heaven opened, birds feasted, and nations judged,
as the antichrist and the evil all cast into a fiery hell.

Blessedly, it was the Lord's Day, the wait finally over,
when angels gathered with trumpets, piercing and loud.
Then the skies opened, and on a white horse He appeared,
King of all kings and Lord of all lords, the name endowed.

In a magnificent cloud, thunderously, He called for us,
and then we were raised to be with Him in the sky.
In the twinkling of an eye, we were all created a new,
healed, revived, restored, never again a body to die.

Wonderous energy surged and coursed through our souls,
with righteous purpose guided by the Holy Spirit.
His new kingdom on earth would exist for a thousand years,
and only the children of God would not hide nor fear it.

A new Heaven, earth, and Jerusalem were gloriously created,
the Book of Life opened, and earthly bodies no longer imprisoned.
Grace and eternity for all who had kept the faith and believed,
Christ would return as He promised just as the day he had arisen.
