Bound by Fear Released by Grace

Gripped in a vice tightened by my thought,
Restricted in my outlook, blinded and distraught,
Fighting an "unknown" battle created by my fear,
Frightened of the future, forgetting Thou art near.

Drowning in a flood created by my tears,
Restless in my nightmares, rehearsing all my fears,
Tied in an enslavement bounded by my pride,
Insecure in my value, forgetting I'm His bride.

Resting in God's promises secured by his grace,
Released to my purpose, seen and embraced,
Free to be His servant knowing that I belong,
God giving me His favour, forgetting all my wrong.
