All things for us will stem from God the Rock
Purposed by Him before all time began
He thought of us, designed for us to be
Receiving Grace in His unequalled plan.
The thoughts of man are like the ocean spray
Beating against a mighty rock that will
Disperse in wind-blown disappearing air
Yet fill his mind with views that lead downhill.
God is not influenced by the human plan
He sits in heaven and laughs while nations rage
The shipwreck and the lethal ways of man
Whose strength is but the sickness of the age.
He is the Lord of Time, the Lord of all
All things are safely in His perfect hands
Though things might seem that all will fall apart
All things, at last, will bow to His commands.
The compass point will always swing to Him
The Rock a magnet that will many draw
Attraction of the One once lifted up
Heaven and earth between, where Grace will pour.
His feelings cover every compass point
Derision, anger, sadness, sorrow, joy
But is not swayed within Himself by these
Nor can those outward storms his Rock destroy.
This Rock shaped like a Cross eternally
And also shows a Lamb upon the throne
To this embracive God our spirits rise
We seek His face and worship Him alone.
