Every good gift

Every good gift
Is from God up above.
The Father of lights,
He gave it in love.

Every living creature,
Be it great or small,
God knows intimately;
He cares for all.

Not one is forgotten;
All share in His grace.
God smiles upon them
As they seek His face.

For man and beast
God provides food.
He gives to the bad,
He gives to the good.

He gives to the rich,
He gives to the poor.
God isn't partial;
He is love to the core.

The nurturing sun,
The rain on the land,
Again and again —
God opens His hand.

He's always at work,
Both day and night;
To bless us with
Things true and right.

Let us thank Him then
For a brand new day,
For the many blessings
He sends our way…

Let us thank our God
For every gift He gives…
Let us sing His praises
With everything that lives!
