Suffering

Will God heal everyone in need
and if not please explain why
This a question that has been debated
for as long as the endless sky

Though we have accepted His Son,
who became our savior and brother
Why do some suffer and others are blessed
and miraculously recover

We are all born with the original sin
and personal sins we commit
Adversity, illness, and death a fate for all,
conditions unto us we must submit

If only Adam and Eve had not sinned,
not departed from God and fell
Humanity would never have known these afflictions
and the existence of hell

Yet there are those who are born with sickness
not reaching the age of sin
Many others live good and upright lives
when they fall ill and suffering begins

Even Jesus, born human without any flaws
was made to endure many trials
He understood our plight, life's challenges,
and our path's many hazardous miles

So will it ever be discovered why some become sick,
hurt and languish in pain
While others get well with medical help
or spiritually recover unexplained

Just like Jesus who died on the cross
so the souls of mankind would be healed
Your suffering is part of God's greater plan
which one day to you will be revealed
