The clever little bee 2

When a bee builds its wax cell, it has to make sure the cell is the right size. . . and also the right thickness.

Now this is tricky! How can the bee measure how thick the wall of the cell is without cutting a hole in it to see?

This is how.

The bee pushes down on the wax and measures how far it bends. After a little mathematics the bee works out the thickness you see, if the wall was too thin, it would bend too far, and if it was too thick, it would not bend far enough.

How does a bee get to be so clever? It's all thanks to the God who created bees - the insect shows the wisdom of its Maker.


Are you an animal?

Some people think that humans are animals, but this is not what the Bible says.

The Bible tells us that God created this world, and all the plants and animals which live on it.

When God had finished creating all the animals, He created two humans. He told these two humans, Adam and Eve, to rule over the animals.
