When God created all the birds He made one of them with feathers of every colour of the rainbow, and with a huge tail full of eyes! I'm talking about the peacock of course, a wonderful example of God's imagination and creative handiwork.
The peacock is the male bird. The female is, by comparison, quite drab and ordinary. She is called a peahen.
When the peacock wants to find a 'wife' he lifts his tail and shakes it. The sun reflects off the feathers and makes a shimmering, translucent, amazing, colourful display.
