The Bible
If you are a Christian parent, you may like to use the following verses for encouragement:
"Ye fathers, provoke not you children to wrath but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord" -Ephesians 6:4
"Train up a child in the way He should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from." - Proverbs 22:6
Prov. 31:1
23:21
Deut: 6:6-9
11:18-21
Homeschooling has many good points:
Peer pressure is almost eliminated, leaving the child to grow up free of trends + fashions.
Parents who believe in the Lord Jesus, and the Bible, can pass on sound teaching, as part of the weekly or daily lessons.
Its potentially a lovely, exciting new lifestyle for a whole family.
Children generally do much better in homeschool than their public school counterparts.
The one-to-one, personal approach is good for the child as he or she grows up.
Lessons can be geared exactly to the child's level.
Homeschooling can be a great way of loving and enjoying you child or children, before they are grown up and out of their children.
This message was by a homeschooler with four at home - but it may not be the best for you and your offspring, so...find out for yourself! Good Luck!!
