Wording of this Handout:

A Mighty Mag Publication By Richard Gunther

There's a quiet revolution taking place in the home.... Parents are doing what they used to do with their own children.... There're keeping them home for school

Any and every subject can be taught:

Geography, Art, Maths, English, Science, Biology, Carpentry, History, Tourism, Typing, Cooking, Gardening, Literature, Farming, Horticulture, Chemistry, Zoology, Religion.

You name it a parent can teach it.

Its really easy, if you are determined.... just contact the right people and ask about it.

Gather the right material.

Talk to other home - schoolers

The education department will help you.

Good though the public education system is in many ways, you, the mum or dad, my want to be with your children more than at present.

To protect you children from outside influences you don't like.

In a convenient room, such as your living room.

In you caravan. YOu can take your school wherever you go.

The Bible

If you are a Christian parent, you may like to use the following verses for encouragement:

"Ye fathers, provoke not you children to wrath but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord" -Ephesians 6:4

"Train up a child in the way He should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from." - Proverbs 22:6

Prov. 31:1

Deut: 6:6-9

Homeschooling has many good points:

Peer pressure is almost eliminated, leaving the child to grow up free of trends + fashions.

Parents who believe in the Lord Jesus, and the Bible, can pass on sound teaching, as part of the weekly or daily lessons.

Its potentially a lovely, exciting new lifestyle for a whole family.

Children generally do much better in homeschool than their public school counterparts.

The one-to-one, personal approach is good for the child as he or she grows up.

Lessons can be geared exactly to the child's level.

Homeschooling can be a great way of loving and enjoying you child or children, before they are grown up and out of their children.

This message was by a homeschooler with four at home - but it may not be the best for you and your offspring, so...find out for yourself! Good Luck!!
