I've glimpsed beyond the bend in life,
For death is found in every heart.
And saw there only grief and strife,
We venture on, yet must depart.
This ember glows but soon goes out,
But from our Father's love comes life,
The heart of man soon ends the bout.
God's mercy across time ends strife.
Forgiveness bought, that priceless soul,
His life so pure, it covers all,
The Son on the cross for the whole!
Humbly received, those of the fall.
I bow my knee to God's great might,
He's righteous, gentle, humble, pure.
Casting darkness, replaced by light,
He heals my death - life will endure!
Unworthy me, His grace I gain,
The glory comes, not seen by eye,
His purity will never wane.
His promise to me very high!
Who can know the Father's new will?
Because His love's so grand for me,
Life for death, His work greater still!
I am brought home and now I'm Free!
