Children of the Light

Glowing, it uncovers the way they should go
Ever flowing through them, innately they know
The energy they feed on is not their own
It was a gift received once He became known

No longer craving what the world provides
Only His word; their heart is where it resides
Growing each day to reflect His only Son
Radiating His forgiveness, never to be undone

Their love shines and overcomes the darkness
Others now see how to defeat the starkness
Helping everyone brighten with new sight
God's luminous family, His children of the light

Then Jesus told them, "You are going to have the light just a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, before darkness overtakes you. Whoever walks in the dark does not know where they are going. Believe in the light while you have the light, so that you may become children of light." John 12:35-36
