Are you so surrounded by darkness that you can't see?
My friend and weary traveler, turn to Me
Have you been feeling lost with the way forward unclear?
Dear voyager and wayfarer, look no further than here.
Do you feel overwhelmed, with problems continually in sight?
Don't give up hope, keep your eyes on my Light
Have you felt like a stranger in your own native land?
Come and grasp My welcoming hand.
See my rescuing light with its rays unfurled?
I tell you truthfully, "I am the Light of the World."
Life's problems never end and they always "fire at will"
But I will never leave you, I'm the Light on the Hill
From the Cross to the Tomb to the Throne of Glory where I sit
I did it all for you, every little bit
My Beacon shines today, too bright to ignore
I am the Light of the World, now and ever more
Come to me, you frightened, unsure, and lost castaway
I'll rescue you, warm you, and heal you today.
